I just order a Fender PCB and I am already looking at docs while impatiently waiting for it to arrive! I noticed that all Layouts for the Fender builds reference 6L6 power tubes, whereas the original amps and schematics are using 6V6.
Was there any change made to the circuit or does this affect the choice of output transformer ? I assume this will also affect tone, was there any reason for the change?
Thanks!
Yannick
Hello guys! Thanks for the comment, there was indeed a typo on the Deluxe Reverb layout. I've modified the files and uploaded the new version. The update version is Rev3.0.0, dated 10/9/2022 😊
You're right. This appears to be an error. Those are mislabeled as 6L6 but should be 6V6 tubes. Otherwise it appears correct. Schematic is correct, so validate against it.
That is strange. I see 6V6 at this link:

Hi- The layout and schematic that are posted on the resources page for the Deluxe Reverb show 6V6 power tubes. Maybe you are looking at an old update?
Depending on the model Fender amp you want to build, they used either 6V6 power tubes (Blackface Deluxe Reverb for example) or 6L6 power tubes (Super Reverb for example). What amp are you planning because the transformer choice will vary depending on power tubes and output speaker loads.
