Hello Frank, there’s definitely something weird going on! I would suggest as a first step to check all ground points indicated on the layout. Also, check from the schematic that the components that are connected to ground are indeed beeping to ground with a multimeter. Then check all caps values and polarity and that your dropping resistors are correct (I had a couple of case in which I mistakenly used an R value instead of a K value). Also, check the orientation of the diodes and the caps in the bias sections Report back your findings :) Best Andrea AA Electronics

Hi Robert, Most of my customer have used the grounding style indicated in the layout successfully. All efforts have been put in the PCB to minimise hums, and there're are two large copper pours, one for the preamp GND and one for the power GND. Hello Andy, I believe the values on the schematics, layouts, BOMs are in agreement. Just be aware that two amps are documented, the "classic" Super Reverb (AB763) and the Super Reverb (AA763). They have respectively a 3M3 and 4M7 at R13. Hope this clears up the confusion :) Cheers Andrea Antonello AA Electronics

Hey Bob, These are just jumpers that allows the board to be used for different amplifier layout in the feature (i.e. amps other than the AB763 style), no particular reason they are there within the context of the Super Reverb

Dear Chris, those large values are in line with what HAD originally put. And yes, there’s substantial overengineering in their ratings. Personally - and this could be a result of my aerospace background - since the price of a 2W vs a 1W is comparable, I’ve always put 2W. Overengineering the resistor wattage will guarantee that the component will basically never fail in that circuit.

hello Wdra65. This is for any additional 12V auxiliary line you might need, i.e. for extra channell switching, lamps, FX loops etc. It is normally not used if you're just building the stock version Andrea AA Electronics

Hello Phil! This is indeed very weird. Can you check the fuses? Can you check also the voltage drops across R56, R57 and R58? Anything looking out of the ordinary or smokey?
